K & M Tire Fundraiser benefits the United Way

K & M Tire has a long history of supporting their local community through various fundraising efforts. In the month of October, the Delphos location participated in several weekly events to support the local United Way. The month kicked off with a Fall Food Fest Day where employees were able to share their favorite fall foods with their co-workers. The most popular event was Jean Day on Friday, October 10th. The third week featured a 50/50 drawing, while the fourth week included a football square activity from the score of the Ohio State verses Penn State game. The winners each brought home $50 while the United Way benefited $100. The last week highlighted a pumpkin decorating contest. There were four submissions to be judged. The Pirate Pumpkins were the big winners. With individual donors and the small events, the Delphos location was able to raise just over $2,500. Thanks to K & M Tire’s generous match program, the United Way will get over $5,000 to assist local programs and organizations in the area.

“The United Way of Greater Lima is a local non-profit organization that measurably improves people’s lives in Allen County.  We do this by bringing together the very best people, ideas, talents and resources to tackle local challenges head on, creating long-lasting positive changes.

Our goals are to help children reach their fullest potential through a quality education, give families the support they need to become financially stable and independent, and help people establish healthy lifestyles.  We proudly serve over 50,000 local people annually.”
