K&M Tire Opens Cleveland Area Warehouse
In efforts to continually improve our fast, friendly service, Delphos, OH-based K&M Tire opened their 18th distribution center in May. The Cleveland area facility allows K&M Tire to increase their deliveries into Northeastern Ohio to service customers as far east as New Castle, PA and as far south as Coshocton, OH.
A little over a year after entering the Northeastern Ohio market, Daniel Stokes, Cleveland Warehouse Manager, was excited to officially open the 37,000-square-foot building. After two months of operations, there are four daily routes leaving from the facility and a total of five fulltime employees. Daniel is looking forward to growing those numbers.
Prior to the opening of the warehouse at 30700 Carter Street, Solon, OH; Daniel coordinated the daily delivery of tires from our Delphos and Toledo warehouses to customers in Northeastern Ohio without the luxury of a brick and mortar building. He also helped to oversee the installation of racks and organization of the tire inventory as the distribution center was prepared to open for business.
“The addition of this building will allow us to make sure our customers in Northeastern Ohio receive the top notch service we feel they deserve and should expect from K&M Tire,” said Cheryl Gossard, Vice President of K&M Tire.
In the quest “To be the leading and most trusted provider of tires and services in all of our geographic markets”, K&M Tire will continue to look for growth opportunities both outside and within its existing geographic footprint.
Founded in 1970, K&M Tire operates over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space at 18 distribution centers in 11 states throughout the Great Lakes, Midwest, Great Plains, and South Central regions, servicing customers in more than 20 states. The company distributes approximately 20 brands of passenger and light truck tires, 12 brands of truck tires, and 10 brands of farm tires.

Company President Ken Langhals addressed council prior to the vote and outlined the project.
“The new building will be going up on the south side of the existing building,” Langhals said. “I am asking for the tax abatement so I can put that warehouse up here. There are a lot of other states I have warehouses in that would be more advantageous as far as doing business but I live here and would prefer to keep it here.”
